Doctor of Philology, Professor. Scientific interests: cognitive linguistics, communication, metacommunication, pragmasemantic analysis Prof. Lyubov Gurevich has been a faculty member in the Department of Linguistics and Professional Communication in the Field of the Humanities and Applied Sciences at the Moscow State Linguistic University (Russia) since September 2020. She received her Candidate of Sciences Degree in philology from the Irkutsk State Linguistic University in 2002 and her Doctor of Sciences Degree in philology from the Military University of the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation in 2011. Prof. Gurevich's current research focuses on linguistics, cultural studies, sociolinguistics (social and political discourse), and cognitive linguistics approaches with a particular interest in pragma-semantic analysis of communication, cognition, and cognitive space dimensions of communication and metacommunication. She is the author and co-author of nine books and more than 90 articles in this area. Her most recent international publications in English are: 1. Gurevich L. (2022). Prof. Gurevich is actively involved in such professional societies as the DiscourseNet Association, the Russian Cognitive Linguists Association, the Russian Academy of Natural History. She is on the editorial board of the international journals “Opinio. Eastern European Journal of Applied Linguistics” (Germany). She has received several awards for research and academic affairs, including the gold medal of “European Quality” (2013), the diploma of All-Russia Exhibition award winner (2011) and others.
