I pursue a 'political ethics of plural economies' perspective on the study of social meaning production that are founded on discourse deployments in the form of networks, units, departments and organizations for the periodic production of texts/documents, which are bearers of meaning. So produced meanings circumscribe what institutional actors rely on and perform. Professionals are trained and certified to move into established networks of meaning that are upgraded and renewed through document and text production. The life activities of ordinary individuals are shaped and guided by sources of meaning that get circulated. Meaning production is only one of the plural economies. Some of the others are economies of affect, sense, luck, looks (beauty), fitness, (tourism) destination, various forms of care, and personhood production. Many individuals live their entire lives in one or more of these economies.
